A small accomplishment

You wouldn't guess it by the current state of my home, but usually I pride myself on being organized. I have started several projects over the last few months, most of them have eventually gotten finished. However, there are still some that are not complete. I have been trying to get myself motivated to get it all done... you can tell by the fact that I am posting right now rather than organizing, cleaning, or completing projects that I have not been very successful with getting it done today! I was foolish enough to start yet another project this past weekend, but I did accomplish the completion of that one just now. I have the coolest scrapbooking book that has tons of recipes for 12x12 layouts. A few months ago I was in a scrappy mood, but I didn't know where to start. So I pulled out that book and just spent a few hours making several layouts. That was in October... those pages have sat unfinished since then. On Saturday I told myself enough is enough, get 'er done. So I went on the computer to order some of the recent pictures that I have taken to scrap them. To my utter horror I discovered that I have only printed the pictures for 3 events since my wedding. The Wedding (of course), my trip to Cancun last February, and our Weitzel family reunion in August. I have a lot of catch up to do. The coolest thing though was since I had several layouts already done I followed the recipes to make sure I had enough of the right sizes of pictures to order. Being smart I made a list as I went. I picked up the pictures today and would you believe that I am already done with all the layouts I had started back in October?! I am so excited. Now, don't you get any ideas like I am caught up on all the events of this past year and a half, I am no where close. But I think I have stumbled upon the best format for scrapbooking I have ever done before. I have never accomplished this many pages this easily (not counting the length of time--in months--from start to finish)! I cannot wait to show them off, especially to Andrew.
The other thing that I got done today was take Reese to the vet. This was his second series of shots. Two weeks ago I took him in and they gave him his first shots and he weighed in at 10 pounds even. Out of curiosity I asked them to weigh him again today. Drum roll please... my fat cow of a puppy is now 16.3 pounds! I knew he was getting bigger, but I didn't realize by how much. If I gained 6.3 pounds in 2 weeks I think I would curl up in a ball and cry :( I think I have managed to get a puppy who will someday grow up to be a small horse...
Now that I have finished those pages, and this post, I think I may be out of excuses for doing laundry, cleaning toilets, and putting away the rest of the stuff left out from Christmas. See you all at Bunco tonight!

I love the feeling of being somewhat caught up on projects and scrapbooking. Good luck and good job.
