I just realized how long it has been since I last posted. I am so bad! I wish I could give some sort of excuse that is better than, I just haven't felt like anything blog-worthy has really been going on. That is, until today. As most anyone who knows me well knows, I suck at keeping secrets. Especially ones that are exciting. But, as with all things, some secrets cannot be kept too long before they end up coming out anyways. So, this one shall come out on my own terms and not someone else's slip!
I am 9 weeks pregnant! Today was my first doctor's appointment and everything went well. I should say that I am still paranoid that something could go wrong, but I do feel better now. Last spring I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks. Something that is supposedly rare. The doctor kept telling me today that everything will be fine with this one. She got all statistical with me, and oddly enough I am the type of person that that actually kind of makes me feel better. She said that there is only a 5% chance after 8 weeks that you will miscarry. Since I was part of that 5% last time, I have an even less chance that it will happen this time. Now if I was at all normal, then I would think better about this, but since I am sure that if there is a chance of something happening, it will probably happen to me. Real optimist right?
Anyways, I am sure that everything will be fine... especially when I can eat things I like again and not be nauseous all the time! I am exactly 9 weeks today so my due date is October 29. This is what I was guessing and after the ultrasound today I was right on! I love how sometimes I can be right about things like this. I would post the picture from my ultrasound, but at this point it is pretty much a gray blob in the middle that is supposedly the baby. Baby was not cooperating much today and was hiding from us, so that didn't help either.
I hope everyone is having a nice spring break so far, enjoy the possibility of snow in March! (All that "global warming" ;)

Yee Haw!!!!! Congratulations! I am so excited for you. :)
Congratulations, Toshia!!! That is so great :) I hope the nausea lets up soon, and that you have a happy and healthy pregnancy!
Congratulations! That is wonderful news! Have you tried chewing on candied ginger? It always helped a lot with my nausea.
I'm so excited for you! I'm sure things will go good this time 'round:)
woo hoo!!! I am glad everything is ok. I am excited for you!
Okay good, it's out in the open now so I don't have to keep it a secret anymore. I am totally glad that the doc says that things are looking good. Congrats!! I can't wait to meet little baby Stott! And of course if it is a girl she definitely gets dibs on Porter!
Congratulations! It's always reassuring to have an ultrasound, too. I still love getting them and I am 32 weeks pregnant.
ZOFRAN can be your best friend. This is my first pregnancy taking it, but I am usually sicker than a dog and this time I feel okay. Also, a unisom and a B6 before bed helps with the morning sickness. (and that in conjuction with Zofran works wonders!)
I'm glad the cats out of the bag! Congrats, again ;) Can't wait to see a tiny little babe in your arms at BUNCO!!
YEAH!!! How exciting! About the morning sickness, "this too shall pass." :0)
