Ode to Silky

O silky blanket, how I love thee. I screechingly request thy presence all throughout the day. There is nothing like sliding around on the floor with my face pressed into thee. And who could deny the sweetness of shoving as much of thy silken material into my mouth as I can? How I long for thee when my awful mother tears you from my grasp to be stuffed into the washer. I know that thou dost not like it one little bit. Ugh, the separation is too great a burden to bear! When will be united and will you still feel as soft and silky? Will you still have the sweetness that I crave?
Ahh, reunion sweet! I almost had thee saved from the clutches of the dryer, but alas it was not to be...another 45 minutes I had to wait to hold you in my arms once more. We shall never be apart, my silky blanket and I.
(Jonathan is obsessed with this thing! I wonder how his future wife will feel about having to share her husband with a worn and smelly blanket? I swear I spend more time washing this thing than any other item in our home...)

Danielle still has hers and her husband has just accepted that!
