18 months old!!!

I am having a really hard time believing that my baby is quickly becoming my big boy. This past 18 months has been quite the adventure! Jonathan will be going to nursery on his own this Sunday for the first time (yay me!) and this week we have begun the potty training journey. Just another one of those things that falls under the category of getting ready for baby Reagan!
Jonathan had his 18 month check up today: 27 lbs. 4 oz. and 33 in. tall. So, still at the top of the growth charts and on track to be a pretty tall guy. For all the developmental milestones he is either right on track or a little ahead. He has 16 teeth and uses those bad boys to eat all day long. He has even figured out how to open the fridge (heaven help me!) and thinks that the fridge serves as his own personal buffet. Yesterday my sister, Autumn, taught him how to climb the ladder on the bunk bed so that adds to the fun around here:) At least at this point he hasn't figured out how to turn the door knobs at our house; however, he can open the doors at my mom's which means he is constantly trying to get out the front door. Totally reminds me of my brother Noah in almost every way. Jonathan loves to read books and would spend the whole day reading with me if he could. I use that to make me not feel so bad that his favorite movie is "Finding Nemo" and he knows how to operate the DVD player in the living room!
Jonathan is quite the talker and jabbers all day long--little of it makes actually sense, but he understands himself I guess. His favorite word is "No," but he says it so cutely that it is hard to get frustrated with him. Autumn was very concerned the other day when he kept answering "No" to every question she asked, she told me "I can't believe that he has already learned how to tell lies!" I had to explain to her that he isn't lying, he just doesn't say "yes" yet.
Here are some of Jonathan's words:
"Mom, mom"
"Mama" (Dad...cracks me up!)
"G-mah" (Grandma)
"Up"
"Mu" (more)
"Wa" (water)
"No"
"Moo" (moon)
"duh" (duck)
"dog"
"go way" (go away)
and a host of other words that I just can't think of right now!
Here are the things he has signs for (although some of them are so similar that you wouldn't know the difference unless you saw them all day long!):
dad, mom, grandma, airplane, all done, baby, bath, bird, duck, book, bubbles, cat, cookie, dog, drink, water, eat, elephant, fish, frog, turtle, giraffe, hat, hot, juice, light, lion, love, milk, moon, more, sleep/bed time, please, thank you, stars, stop, phone, toothbrush, horse, bear, alligator, tiger, monkey, dolphin, whale, and potty (I am so sure that there are many more, but I just can't think of them!)
Jonathan can identify and point to a bazillion things, almost all of his body parts (hair, ears, eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, hand, fingers, toes, feet, belly button, tummy and bottom) he is working on elbow and knee.
Potty training has been interesting, but today he is consistently acknowledging when he starts to pee his pants and runs to the bathroom calling for me. He pees on the potty chair about half the time so I am feeling pretty good about this. Fingers crossed!
We love you Jonathan--thanks for being such a good kid:)

Is he really only 17 pounds? He is tiny! Megan is really little and she was 22 pounds or so at her 18 month!
And potty training? I can't even imagine potty training Megan right now and she is 2 (today!) I don't think that I will attempt that until this Summer.... or later:)
