On Monday we went back to my Grandma's house and took advantage of the swimming pool in their neighborhood. The boys had so much fun! They didn't want to leave when it was time to head out to the beach. Luke said that he hated the beach...that is until we got there. Once the boys discovered that the beach in southern CA is way different from Oregon's beaches (specifically that it is warmer!) they had a blast. They spent hours hunting for seaweed and making a huge pile of the stuff. Jonathan eventually decided that he loved the sand and was playing in a big hole for a while. He didn't so much like the waves, but I was fine with his choice to not play in the water. We roasted hot dogs at a fire pit on the beach and then finished off the night with s'mores!

Jonathan climbing a hill of sand...if you look closely you can see the massive amount of sand in his hair!

After 3 weeks in CA, Chad was missing his favorite little nephew:)

I did a lot of this.....

Jonathan using his brothers' shoes as sand toys.
(See the sweatshirt on my Aunt Missy? Funny story: that was Andrew's hoodie that he misplaced 4 summers ago when we had our family reunion. It was fun to find out that it had found a good home;) We love you Missy!)

The whole gang (not that clear of a photo...sorry!)

That looks so fun! The picture at the bottom of the whole gang is awesome. (Yeah, bummer it was so dark, but it's a sweet picture!) I also love how serious Jonathan looks about climbing the sand hill. CUTE!
