Ornament Party

Andrew and I went to an ornament exchange/Christmas party at our friend Margo's house in Portland. She does this party every year and has the process down to a science. There was a lot of debate around here prior to the party about the ornament we would bring (okay, so a lot of "debate" and in the end I boycotted the purchase and left it up to Andrew...childish behavior on my part. Sorry Andrew!) Andrew did an awesome job and picked out a hallmark ornament that was the house from National Lampoon's Christmas vacation. When you pushed the button the lights turned on and the hallelujah chorus played. The funny thing was after all the fuss about needing a cool ornament for the party we ended up with the worst one there: a little pink pig with angel wings on it! Jonathan quickly fell in love with it though and called it his "angel pig" until he broke it's wings off and then it was just pig. However, I did fix it and it is safely tucked away to return to our tree next Christmas!
