For Valentine's this year Andrew surprised me with an assortment of goodies. There were balloons, a grow kit for forget-me-nots, a card, a hand painted glass filled with peanut m&m's (story of why it isn't pictured in a second...), and my favorite: a love fern! The first movie that we watched together was "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" and he got me our love fern. Yes, it is still alive;)
I worked on Valentine's day so I didn't get home for my surprise until late. I picked up the kids from my mom's house and then headed home. Andrew was only a few minutes behind us and he got home just in time to see Jonathan make his way up on top of the table and knock over the glass. I guess we just can't have nice things when we have kids! Here are the remains:
RIP hand painted glass. It really was a beauty:(
Thank you for a fabulous Valentine's day surprise, Andrew! I know I can be a pain sometimes;) but you know I love you!

I'm so sad about the glass!! :( What an awesome gift. You're right--little kids and nice things can't really coexist, but eventually they get big enough so you can have nice things again. What a great Valentines day gift!
