I have been a bad blogger this month and not taken the time to post much, or take too many pictures! I decided to remedy that today and got the camera out once I had the kids ready for church. Adrian was in the shower at this point and so he missed out on the photo shoot:) Here are some pictures of Reagan and Jonathan playing in Adrian's room:
Reagan is still mastering her balance a little, but rarely falls over any more. I just love this dress I found for her. Dressing little girls is way more fun that boys! I just wish she had more hair to go with it...
Her favorite expression is one of drooling bliss. She constantly has gunk in her neck rolls from all the drool that I am cleaning out. I think she is very close to cutting her first teeth through...
Aww, how precious. Jonathan loves "my thithter" as he calls her, or "baby waygan." He is very possessive of her...almost smothering sometimes! I think he is really loving the fact that Reagan can "play" with him now. I have to keep a very close eye on him though since he plays a lot rougher than she can handle sometimes. Case in point: he loves Toy Story and "plays" it all the time. We are all assigned various characters to play and absolutely must participate. Jonathan is most often Buzz Lightyear and if this is the case then the rest of us have specific roles: Andrew is Rex, Adrian is Ham/Slinky dog, Luke is Woody, Reagan is Jessie, I am Bo Peep/Andy's mom, and his IKEA rocker thing is Bullseye. If you make him made while you play then you become Zurg (once he threw in Lotso, but he is a little scared of TS3 so he usually leaves those characters out!). Tonight, things changed....he decided that he wanted to be Woody and that Reagan is Bullseye. She was happily playing on the floor in their room only to have him sit on her yelling at her to "wide like da win, Bullseye!" She was no longer happily playing on the floor. I would much rather that he he Buzz and leaping around saying "to infindity and ba-yawn!" than crushing his baby sister. Someday she will be able to fight back and he will be one sad little boy!
Reagan has been working really hard at crawling and has her own little method of pulling with her fingers and pushing with her toes that is getting her around quite nicely. She is spending more time working on trying out her knees and real crawling as well as pulling herself up with stuff. I know I keep saying it, but I am not ready for this! Why do these babies grow up so fast?!
Jonathan has recently become very interested in "homework." He sees Adrian doing his homework everyday and he wants some too. I have been teaching him counting and playing matching games with him for a while, but I pulled out a book we have from when Luke was younger that is supposed to be for pre-K level. Jonathan is nowhere near ready to write his letters and learn the alphabet, but he has mastered the matching worksheets. He is pretty good at picking out stuff, too. i.e. the biggest, the smallest, the one that belongs, the one that doesn't belong, etc. He is getting better at pattern recognition, but that is still a work in progress. I love how interested he is right now and I want to take advantage of it. I spend a lot of time helping Adrian and taking care of Reagan and it is nice to have our thing together. Bed time has become a little better with Jonathan, after the prayers/story/song routine I give him a book to read to himself and 90% of the time he is staying in bed and falling asleep with a book. This must be a habit he got from me! Or maybe he has been watching Adrian a lot lately...
Adrian loves to read. I need to take him to the library and get him some newer books to read. A few years ago I couldn't get him to read anything without it becoming a fight and now he won't stop! He has read the Harry Potter series 3 times, the Percy Jackson series 2 times, and pretty much every other book we own (that he is able to/wants to) 2 or 3 times. He has been doing a lot better since the events of last Tuesday and in some ways I think he has changed for the better. I think that experience taught him something about all the blessings he has in his life, despite all the burdens that we all have.
Yes, life here in the Stott house is good. We are loving it!

What a great update! The pictures are so cute. I can hardly believe Reagan is that big! :) I know what you mean--dressing a girl is WAY more fun! It sounds like you have a good thing going with Jonathan and the books at bedtime!! How great is that?! Adrian sounds a lot like my Preston. He LOVES to read and has read Harry Potter probably 20 times. When he gets favorites he can read them over and over. He hates going to the library for that very reason--he'd rather own the book and be able to read it 1,000 times. :) I can't remember how old Adrian is, but Preston (almost 14) has gotten into this Alex Rider series and really loves them. So if Adrian is looking for something new... :) I'm always looking for new book suggestions, too. :)
Love the update on the kids. So scary with ADrian running off on his own. Skyler was like that trying to get out of trouble, but learned his lesson. I know you are the best thing to happen to Andrew, Adrian & Luke. These boys are so blessed to have you in their lives. Thank you for watching over them. It is fun to hear Jonathan's excitement 4 learning & his little routine. Do u have a routine set up for Reagan, too?
That Iis scary about Adrian! Sounds like you guys handled things well & are all closer though the experience. So fun! Carter is the same way with Addy. it got a little worse when she started crawling because she could get into his stuff--we've really had to work on sharing! They do grow up up fast! Thanks for sharing all the pics of your cute family!
