The first weekend of August marked our annual Weitzel Family Reunion! We had a blast this year and got to spend the weekend at Fort Stevens camping. Our kids love going camping and looked forward to this trip for about 6 months. Pretty much from the time that they found out where we were going;) The boys got to go up earlier in the day with Grandma and Grandpa while I waited for Andrew to get done at the OR and finished up packing. They had a lot of fun and got to ride on a ferry! The boys were pretty impressed with the ferry ride and loved every minute of their time with the grandparents. Once Andrew was home we picked up my brothers from their 50 mile high adventure hike and headed out to the Oregon coast.
For some reason the boys needed to practice their knot tying skills and hang a line with several places to hang things from. I never could figure out what they needed it for;) Since the branch they picked was pretty tall they had to improvise.
I just can't tell if there's any family resemblance between my children and I...
Looking out over the sea wall
Secretly plotting to sneak out of their tent at night? Hmmm? (just kidding, they did nothing of the sort....at least that we know of....)
While the boys climbed on the rocks we watched from above.
Adrian, Autumn, and Luke conquering the world!
