I know. I can't believe it either. Adrian is officially in the 6th grade now. He was super excited to start off the school year at the 6th grade school and to see all his friends from school again. This year has already been a bit of a roller coaster when it comes to class work and assignments, but overall Adrian has been doing really well. He is also working on his scouting stuff, learning to play the clarinet for the beginner band and continuing with learning to play the piano. Adrian's favorite thing to do is read. Anything by Rick Riordan is a must-read for this kid. He reminds me a lot of myself when it comes to the reading. Now, if only I could get him to spend half as much time doing his homework as he does reading than he would be in perfect shape! Here's to a successful year of school and the hopes that all the little quirks will soon work themselves out;)

Hooray!! Middle school kind of IS an adjustment. I'm sure he'll do well. He is a great kid and is doing great things! My oldest loves Rick Riordan, too, and he would rather read than do homework ANY DAY! So we have the same issues. When he was little he hated school because it "cut into his reading time." sigh ;) Best of luck with the quirks. Hope it's a great year!
BTW, I just left a hint on my blog related to my little contest. :) I want you to win the rocket/I love you page, too. :) It would be perfect for Jonathan. Go check it out. And remember I grew up in the 80s. :)
Hint is in the comments
