This year was our turn to have Luke with us for Christmas Eve instead of Christmas day. The kids were really worried about when presents were going to be opened and we just kept telling them that everything would work out just fine. Little did they know that Santa's elves had a plan. The night of Christmas Eve Eve some elves stopped by and hooked us up!
Those elves were a little concerned about kids getting into stuff they shouldn't so they set up a trap for those stinky kids. They also attached a not that said:
"Congratulations! Your home has been randomly selected for Christmas Eve delivery!! Due to increased demand some families receive their presents one night early so that deliveries can be made on time to all the children of the world. Please enjoy your early Christmas and thank you for your generally good behavior this year. For your continued good behavior Santa may have time for a quick stop on Christmas.... Sincerely, Santa's elves"
The funny thing is that the power went out in the middle of the night and one of the boys had to go to the bathroom. He was scared by what he felt so he crawled under the streamers. I was amazed that the streamers were all still intact when we woke up in the morning. They all crawled under it and none of them took the time to read the note! It was hilarious when they finally read it...there was plenty of whooping and hollering as they thundered down the hallway to see what awaited them under the tree.
Up first: find the pickle! This year's winner was Jonathan (thanks to his brother's who decided to sit back and not look too hard so he could have it. Nicely done boys!)
There were plenty of presents for all. Maybe one day when I feel up to it I can blog about all the stuff I made: a doll carrier back-pack for Reagan, aprons for the whole gang, a lego table for the boys, a stuffed chewbacca doll for Jonathan, and an mp3 player case for Adrian.
Reagan's favorite present was her baby doll of course!
The boys' favorite present was the Lego Millennium Falcon they have been asking for for years. Hours of fun and entertainment for mom and dad the boys!
