Lego Mania

Ever have one of those days where you just don't feel like doing anything?  I often have them, but rarely am able to act on them!  But, one day last month: I did.  I told the kids we were playing legos.  I took Luke to the store to spend his birthday money and with a little financial help from yours truly he was able to get (yet another) Star Wars lego set.  While he worked on building that one the rest of us divided up the legos by color and got out the booklets so that we could make all the sets that we have.  I was determined and a little frustrated at times when missing legos were nowhere to be found, but in the end we were able to do it!
These piles sorted by color make my heart skip a beat.  If I had a million hundred dollars I would get an ikea system and keep them separated by color always;)  Well, I would, but my kids probably wouldn't....

Some of the finished creations.  Just wait until Christmas....the boys are going to be busy with legos for a loooong time (hopefully).

This is the book that Jonathan got for his birthday from Grandma Candy.  He studies it diligently and it has become quite dog-eared.  I love when he sits for hours reading this book and tells me all about the characters.  Then he has make-believe story lines going on between the different character's on their pages.  I don't know that I am describing that correctly, but it sure is cute!  When you have a 3 year old that can tell the difference between a clone trooper and a storm trooper then you know you have too many star wars geeks at your house;)

Love it. I know--I wish ALL Legos would be sorted by color or at least by product. I have little ziplock bags that are labeled so Ethan can keep them all separate. And now he has 20 labeled, empty bags inside his big box of Legos. :)
