We almost had to reschedule our dayt this month due to some unplanned events with Andrew's school, but in the end it all worked out. We went to the Hotel DeLuxe for a catered Christmas party. We were to dress up in the style of the 40s or 50s. It was so much fun! I loved the whole setting and Andrew got a chance to wear his awesome spectator shoes!!
A year in review:
I would have to say that this has been one of the best dating years of my life:) Andrew and I have had so much fun doing things that we wouldn't normally do. I loved that we had time and an activity set (most months anyways!) for us to do. This was one of the best Christmas ideas I have ever stumbled upon and followed through on. The best thing that we did, besides coming up with the plans, was setting aside money for our dayts. I would totally recommend this to anyone out there who wants to have some dating fun. We were able to go out on our dayts and not stress about spending money. As parents it can be hard to allow yourself to spend money on yourselves when you know that your kids need all kinds of stuff.
Here are the fun things we did this year:
1- Dinner Party
2- Dinner and a movie
3- Miniature golf at Glowing Greens
4- Dinner and a temple session
5- Bowling
6- Couples Massage (attempted, partial fail...)
7- Tillamook for the day
8- Les Mis (my favorite!)
9- Rent a movie and have a night in
10- Corn Maze
11- Karaoke (epic fail)
12- Dinner at a new place
I cannot wait to start sharing with you the fun dayts I have planned for next year. Our success rate was pretty high for 2011, let's see if we can get 100% in 2012!!!
Happy Dayting!

You guys look so great!! I agree--we don't have the cool Dayt ideas you guys do, but we do set aside a day and money, and when you've already set it aside, you don't feel like you're "taking" it from anything else, and it works out really well. Frankly, I think we need our dates as much as kids need new shoes!! Honestly! It has been so fun to hear what you're doing for your Dayts, so I'm glad you're doing it again. :)
