This year Adrian decided that he wanted to be in the 6th grade band at his school. After some serious deliberation he decided to go with the clarinet. I *might* have strongly discouraged the brass section. I don't think my nerves could handle that practice every day!
They had the whole band set up and ready to go behind the curtain. The high school auditorium was packed. Literally. There was standing room only. I wish I had captured Adrian's face as the curtain lifted. His eyes looked like they were going to pop out and his jaw fell open!
The band performed wonderfully. Most of the songs were tunes I didn't recognize, but they of course played Jingle Bells.
