Liar, Liar....

This morning was a doozy.  It started with the 3am arrival of Jonathan in my bed.  I asked him if he needed to go potty and he said he already did.  I felt his dry pants and went back to sleep.  At 5:45am the phone rang to let us know that a couple buses were on snow routes (at least there was school today!  First day all week.)  I could hear Reagan in her room laughing and jabbering on about nothing so I went to get her to take her potty.  She successfully went both numbers and seemed to be done.  I went to get her some underwear and in the process stepped on a very wet pair of pajama pants only to notice that there was also a wet pair of Jonathan's underwear in front of the laundry room door.  What?!  At this point Adrian comes to ask me if he needs to get ready for school.  He was not too happy that the answer was yes!  I got Reagan dressed and then heard Jonathan in my room.  I set Reagan on the bed with Andrew and asked Jonathan if he wet his bed last night.  He responded by saying:
"No.  I didn't do it.  Someone was sleeping in my bed with me and peed all over me.  I think it was Reagan.  Yeah, Reagan was in my bed and then she peed on me.  After she peed on me she used magic to get back in her crib.  But, I did not pee my pants."
What?!  My little cutie is such a liar!!  I do have to give him some credit for the creativity; however, lying is not an option in this house.  I then asked him who changed his pants and he proudly said "I did because I got pee on mine."  Oh, so you did pee your pants?  "No.  Reagan peed on me."  At this point I could hear Reagan hollering again in my room so I went to check on her.  She was sitting on the edge of my bed and (wait for it...) you guessed it, she had done both numbers in her pants right there on my bed!  I rushed her back into the bathroom and got things cleaned up.  I ran the bath for her and then went to get her soap and some clean clothes.  When I returned Jonathan told me "Mom, I just asked her and Reagan says that she did pee on my bed and on me.  She says she is magic like that."  Really?  "Yes.  She peed and pooped on your bed too mom.  See?"  I guess there's some logic to that, but it is still a lie!!!!

Once I had Reagan out of the bath they both wanted to eat.  And yes it was only 6:20am.

After scriptures when Adrian was getting ready for the bus he came to me and said "Mom, this morning at like 4 or 5 I woke up with my stomach hurting.  I....I....I...had (whispers) you know."  Oh great, now I'm wondering if his bathroom is full of bodily functions mess and what else the wonderful day could hold for me.  Did you make it to the toilet?  Is there any mess anywhere?  "Yes. No."  Are you feeling okay now?  "Yes, I just didn't know if maybe I should just stay home from school today."  No.  You should not.  "Dang it."

I have now washed 2 loads of laundry, baked 5 dozen cookies (just cause I needed some!), and am working on getting some painting done.  Wish me luck!
