The dayt for March did take some preparation/planning ahead of time. I found the idea on some website, but she didn't list any of the stuff that they did--just the idea. I know that in order for it to be really like a "Choose your own adventure" book I would have needed to write it out like a story, but I was lazy;) Instead I used a lot of envelopes! Andrew wants to save the unopened ones for future use, so those ones are "sealed," but here is what we did:
Options: Stay "Local" or Go to the "Big City"
Choice: Local
Options: Hungry or Not?
Choice: Hungry
Options: Old Favorite or New Adventure
Choice: New Adventure
**We went to Kozy Korner since I've heard a few people talk about it and we've eaten almost everywhere else in town. It was definitely an old mom and pop setting, but the food was actually pretty good. Andrew got a big old fat Reuben sandwich and I opted for Brinner: French toast and sausage. All around impression: not too bad!**
Options: Late Night or "Early" Bedtime
Choice: Late Night
**We went to see The Hunger Games!!! (I had seen it the night before, but Andrew hasn't even read the books yet...) The second time around for me did not disappoint.**
Overall, this was a really fun date. I found it interesting that his choices led us to a stereo-typical dinner and a movie date. But, sometimes that is just what you need/want! We haven't actually had that type of date in a while so it was something new and different for us. Now we'll have to see how long before any of the other envelopes get opened!

Oooh, I LOVE that idea!! What a really fun date! We have so many "mom & pop" places around here, and we've found the same thing--good food, and no wait, either!
