My kids are always begging us to go to the zoo. Since we have a family pass we are able to comply fairly often, but sadly the older boys miss out most of the time. When we were deciding what to do to kick off spring break we decided to head over to the zoo. Let me just say: BAD idea. Zero parking, massive crowds, and annoying people--I deserve an award or something for taking the shuttle, maneuvering the crowds, and ignoring fools! My kids enjoyed themselves and since we had no other plans for the day it wasn't stressful.
Reagan and I rode on one bus with the stroller while my mom brought the rest of the crew on the next bus (the lines were insane!) Here's Reagan waiting for Gamma.
The boys love lorikeet landing and I let them bring some $ so that they could buy the nectar and try to feed the birds:

On a break from the crowds we rested on some benches. These guys decided it was the perfect time to study their maps:
After spending several hours at the zoo we waited for our return shuttle and headed home. All four of my kids were passed out by the time we got home and continued to nap for a good half hour once we got there. It was a nice peaceful respite for this tired and worn out mom!

Cute pictures of Reagan, especially. I love the passed-out pictures--I have several of those of my kids. They're just so cute. You totally DO deserve an award for braving the crowds, parking, etc. I am so lame that those things keep me from going a lot of places, or at least I maneuver it so we're there at weird times. I guess I kind of hate people. LOL
we went on Friday. People thought it was going to rain, so they stayed away. We had the zoo to ourselves! Next time its cloudy, let's go to the zoo!!!
