Ironically enough I have since the day we had our fake splash park adventure in our backyard I have learned that the local splash park was turned on the day prior. There just wasn't any real publicity like I thought there would be:( Since we've had a lovely indian summer going on this month of September I knew we still had time to make it out and enjoy the fun.
I thought it was fun for what it is. The are with only dark bricks is where more engraved bricks will eventually go (ours being one of them...bummer that it isn't in yet!) so we have that to look forward to. The only things I wasn't thrilled about were that the black compass stones are slippery when wet (really thought that one through on design) and the playground right next to it is barkdust so you can't really stay barefoot. Other than those couple things I thought it was great and the kids loved it.

I see many summer days down here next summer...
