Sexy Scrabble!
When I found this on Pinterest I knew that it would have to make it's way into the rotation of dayts this year. The kids spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa's so we had the house to ourselves;)
Scrabble is not a game that Andrew generally likes playing, but he humored me and went along with it. We decided to just dump all the pieces in a pile and just kind of pick out the letters we wanted to make the word we were going for. Mainly it was hilarious to see what words we would come up with (to avoid some awkward google searches I will not be sharing all the words that were played!) I was laughing so hard I had tears when Andrew played the best word of the game "tapdat." He was so proud of himself to. I almost yelled out "Challenge!" But, since we weren't playing with any real rules I didn't.
December is quite possibly the busiest month of the year and it is easy to forget the importance of maintaining your relationships. With January comes the reminder to get back to real life and this was the best way to start off the year. A night with just the two of us. No rules. No interruptions.
(Sorry if this post offends anyone...In my defense: a) I kept it family friendly. b) We are married after all so this is totally legit. and c) at least it wasn't a game of "battleship!")

Sheesh, I hope nobody is offended by that!!! Nobody should be. You're right--it IS legit, and it SHOULD be fun!
I think it's a fun idea, and I'm glad you guys had so much fun with it. The part where you're laughing so hard you have tears running down your face says it all. The whole idea of regrouping (after all the other things in life are demanding your attention) and just connecting is the whole reason behind dates (or daytz). Love it.
