Thanksiving Weitzel Style

Taylor, Ashleigh and Chloe hanging out in the corner, out of the way for once! JK heheHayden was getting a little jealous that no one was taking pictures of her... this is the pose I got when I did try to take one, her "I cannot believe you want a picture of me, uhhh"

Paul, Ashleigh's boyfriend, posing with his belt buckle like a rodeo star. I told him I would blog it and I am. He had the pleasure of experiencing the full craziness of the Weitzel family and allowed his mother to share that experience. His mom came all the way from Wyoming to eat turkey with the crazy people from Oregon.

My mom and I (notice the little drama queen Hayden off to the side...)

It is hard to see in this photo, but if you look close you can see Noah in the lower left hand corner and there is a deer near the center. Autumn spotted Noah and our cousin Jake outside. When we questioned them on what they were doing we were informed they were "sexually harassing" the deer. I asked them how in the world you do this, my cousin replied "you spank it" I told them there was no way that they spanked a deer, they still claim they did. What a couple of idiots. (I say that with love of course!)

Well, another eventful Thanksgiving for the Weitzel's has now come and gone. The craziness of that day shall never be matched, but the blessing of family holds new meaning for all! My mom was there to lean on until she had to leave for the Airport back in Portland (lucky bum, had a perfectly legitimate excuse to take off early...) We celebrated turkey day at Grandma and Grandpa's beach house in Neskowin (in case you are wondering it is about 20 minutes north of Lincoln City on the Oregon Coast). It was nice of them to host at their home; however, I have decided that the stress of hosting these functions is a little too much for my Grandmother. There were just too many things going on at once and too many people to pay attention to. I stayed the night there at their house. Chloe, Taylor, Autumn, Hayden and I got the pleasure of sharing a full-size bed. And let me tell you there never was a truer description of that bed, it was FULL. Let's just say that no one wanted to sleep on the floor, so the only one who slept well was Autumn who could sleep through anything I am sure. Oh well, it was fun. At least we weren't in the garage apartment with the boys. My dad, Chad and Noah slept out there. Chad had a huge down sleeping bag so he said he was just fine, but my dad and Noah didn't have that luxury and they said it was colder in the garage than outside. Sucks to be them!

The next morning we went to the Pig 'n' Pancake in Lincoln City for breakfast. I have to tell you that the most hilarious thing of the whole trip was watching Autumn eat her food. She may hate me for this someday, but for now she thinks she is funny too. We recorded her eating habits for posterity's sake. If you have a few minutes you should check it out.

After breakfast it was of course no trip to Lincoln City without a visit to the local outlet mall. Being Black Friday I was a little nervous that it would be obnoxiously busy, but it really wasn't that bad. I refuse to go shopping before the sun has risen in the sky, so I thought I probably wouldn't get any awesome deals, but I did. I normally am not that much of a "shoe" person, but I got the cutest pair of shoes from Bass at 50% off the outlet price. Retail: $95, Toshia spent: $34.50. Nice. I love it when I get a good deal. Once the shopping was over I took off for home. Dad was out on the golf course with the other men, but I did not want to hang around waiting so Chloe, Autumn and I headed North for home. It sure is nice to be home, sleep in my own bed, and have some peace and quiet!

5 people in a full size bed? Seriously? I bet you were glad to get home and sleep in your own bed! The Weitzel Thanksgiving looks like fun and Autumn's video made me giggle. She sure is chewing her cud ;)
