These are a few of my favorite things...

Now I know that all of us have watched those Oprah episodes where she does her "favorite things." I can honestly say that I did see that episode this year and seriously, although I think having a full entertainment system in the door of your fridge is a bit much, I want that! If Oprah was giving it to me you better believe that bad boy would find a place in my kitchen. I am fully aware that the likelihood that something as extraordinary as ending up on Oprah's set the day she does her favorite things is next to never. However, a girl can dream can't she? Of course we can! This week I had the fun of being a part of a version of "My favorite things." Dr. Dustin's wife always helps him with the Christmas gifts for the team, and this year was no exception. We got "Christi's Favorite Things." It was so much fun! Here are my new favorite things:

  • Leopard print slippers: so comfy! I have had them on since Thursday...(except when I had to leave the house of course)

  • Lindor Chocolate truffles: to have for those days when you need chocolate

  • Walker's shortbread: always a tasty treat, especially around the holidays

  • French Manicure set: because every girl needs to get her nails "did"!

  • A pineapple scented candle: because Christi likes candles and she loves to vacation in the tropics (I love candles and I did enjoy that seminar in Cancun this year...)

  • The softest most wonderful bathrobe in the whole world!: I'm not kidding, I had to check the tag, it's polyester but I could have sworn it was chenille. This also has been a staple of my wardrobe the last few days

  • Hot Chocolate: simply because a) you can never have enough chocolate and b) there is just something about a nice warm cup of cocoa to warm your soul!

  • A cloth handbag: she brought 6 different ones for us to chose from and the best thing is that each of us ended up with the one we wanted! There is a lady in Vancouver who makes these bags (and other things) I love it! If you all are anything like me you can never have enough handbags so check out this website http://www.hannabelleboutique.net/ and see if Santa will be bringing one to you this Christmas!

  • Money: of course no work Christmas gift is complete without the bonus! This one was Dr.'s addition to the favorites. As he put it his favorite thing is "cabbage" which for those of you who may not be "hip to the jive" (mom) this is Dr's attempt to use slang to reference money. There is nothing funnier than a white man using terms like that! (or white women for that matter, just ask my mom how she enjoys having a "grub of money" or "grip of food" I love you mom)

I have to say that this was one of the best work parties I've ever been to, a lot of fun and not to formal. I like that. We also did a white elephant gift exchange which was quite funny, but just in case the gift I got somehow finds it's way into another white elephant gift exchange I will just have to keep the details of that lovely item to myself. (I have no problem with re-gifting a good white elephant gift!) Merry Christmas!

How in the world do I get a job where you work? Can you hook a girl up?! Love all the "favorite things" and I agree with the Dr...cabbage is the best gift of all :)
