I know I should have been done with these a long time ago, but what can I say? I have been busy. Here are the prizes for the 2 who voted correctly on my baby being a boy! Congrats to Michelle and to Paige. I will get these to you asap :)
I have also been making other things along way. My parents celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary on Saturday and so I made them this board. My mom has been a little jealous of one I have for us, so I thought it would make the perfect gift! I am so proud of my parents and how much they have done for all their children and each other over those years. I am sure it was not always easy, but they have made it this far. I can't wait to celebrate another 28 years together when they are really old :)
Then for father's day I made this tile for my dad. He does so much for his children and he has never been one to be afraid or wary of getting down on the ground with his children. I read this saying and I thought of all that it means to kneel and help a child. It could just be meant to recognize the times our dads helped us up when we fell and scraped our knees when we were little, but for me it makes me think of the countless hours my father has probably spent kneeling in prayer to help his children. We all need help sometimes, even when we are "all grown up" and no matter how far we are from each other his prayers for us are always felt. I love you dad!
This last project was just something I thought up and wanted to make. A family home evening chalk board. I think it turned out alright. I just found out about a place you can order different colors of chalk board paint though, so I may have to give it another whirl!
