Bug spray. It is a funny thing. I always pack it with me when I go camping of any kind and yet I rarely remember to put it on in time for it to do any good! I like to think that I will luck out and not run into any little skeeters that want to suck my precious (and apparently delicious) blood. The evidence of my laziness is now worn on my arms: 21 mosquito bites in all! I feel like I could pass for the early stages of the bubonic plague... all these nasty bumps on my arms. I tried to take a picture, but they don't show up too well and thus do not do it justice. I will have to remember that in the future even if the bug spray is all the way up the hill in your car and you are too lazy to go and get it, you better go if you know what is good for you!
This past weekend I was able to go to Camp Wilkerson with a group from our stake to participate in a "Training Trek" in order to prepare for the real deal coming up in a few weeks. The month of July will be a crazy one for us and hopefully full of lots of fun and loads of memories. If you don't see too many posts coming up in the near future it is because I am nowhere near a computer or just too dang tired to care! On Saturday we get to leave for our cruise to the Western Caribbean, I have been looking forward to this since last October and I cannot believe that the time has finally come. This past weekend Andrew asked me what I wanted to do next Saturday. I said, I don't know want to go see a movie or something? He just looked at me and said "wow, you really are losing your mind in this pregnancy! We will be in Florida next Saturday... remember?" I wish I could say that I had, but no. My brain was on preggers and it didn't even dawn on me :) Then he proceeded to remind me of my favorite part of the whole thing: no laundry, dishes, or cooking for 9 days! It will be heaven for me, granted the laundry will seriously need to be done upon our return, but for that brief period of time I will have 24 hour access to food I do not have to do a thing to prepare or clean up after! (Watch out, I may just come back a whale of sorts...lol) A big huge thank you in advance to my brother, Seth, for coming out and house sitting for us while we are gone! Such a load off our shoulders to know Reese is going to be taken care of and the house still standing when we return (hopefully!).
Then we will be back to the daily grind for a week and preparing ourselves for Trek. I am really grateful that Andrew will be able to go and that I don't have to walk the whole trail. I don't even care if that makes me lazy. I will just be helping out sporting the quite attractive pioneer dress I sewed last week. I have to brag about the hideous thing because I have never sewn a dress before and it actually turned out not too bad. The pattern was ridiculous, 4 dresses in one. I had to use the skirt from one, the sleeves from another, and the bodice from yet another one. And I had to do darts, which I thought google had given me enough info on to be able to do, but according to my mom I did tucks. Whateva! I also had to do a lining and sleeves and a zipper. I sure went for complication instead of simplicity :) Oh well, all over and done with now. Look for pictures of far away paradise in the near future!

What exciting plans! I hope you guys have a fabulous time! And one little tip, I don't know how much of your cruise you might be off the ship on islands, but we went to St. John for our honeymoon, and the mosquitoes were INSANE there.
Oooh, thinking about your bites really makes me itchy. Have fun on your cruise!!
I wish I could go on the trek. I really loved the one I went on back a million years ago. Did you ever get my question about the cricut?
Wow! What a busy and fun and crazy month you will have! I hope you have a fabulous time on your cruise and I hope you make it through the trek! Congrats on sewing a dress. That is serious business. Whenever I try to sew something complicated I always have to have my mom finish it for me.
