On Monday I had my follow up appointment with my OB and she said that all my tests from my hospital visit came back fine and they aren't sure why I am so lucky to get kidney stones. I passed some more over the weekend, but it wasn't as bad as before, thank goodness! She says hopefully they won't come back, I hope so too :) She seemed concerned that I hadn't gained any weight in the past 3 weeks, so she told me to make sure I am eating enough. I swear it feels like I am getting bigger everyday so I don't know what she is talking about. I have officially entered the third trimester now and so it is going to go by really fast I am sure. She started in with all those questions like, who is going to be the pediatrician, do I want an epidural, have we decided about circumcision yet, we should buy our car seat soon so we have it... I don't know. I knew all this stuff was coming, but October seemed so far away that I hadn't been too worried about it. So this week I went a little obnoxious in preparing.
After I left the OB's I went to Target in Portland and got Adrian some school clothes and found a bunch of baby stuff on clearance. My favorite is a little pair of pants I got for .81--I love a good deal! I decided that I didn't want to leave anything to the last minute for Adrian's school stuff so I printed off the school list and yesterday I got all the school supplies and his shoes. I am happy to report that I am done getting ready for school now! I am lucky I only have one child to get ready for :) And yesterday the crib bedding came for the baby finally. I had to go crazy with that. My mom gave me her crib and changing table. The crib was used by the last 3 and the changing table was used by all of us. It is kind of neat to have that history in the house. She also gave me a really cool baby swing that only Autumn used and some baby clothes she had been saving for just such an occasion. I love coming from a big family! Yesterday I got everything set up and was able to take an inventory to find out what I still need, but I promised Andrew I would calm down for a few weeks (meaning days!). I think it turned out pretty cute for what I wanted. I still want to paint the yellow walls a brown, but Andrew says I have taken on too many projects...it doesn't look bad the way it is, I just am stubborn.
I am getting so excited now for this baby to join us here in our family. He is moving around like a ninja all the time, I tried to tell Andrew this morning that the baby is trying to get out and play with us. Baby Jonathan is about 3 pounds now so he is too small, but soon he will be big enough and hopefully we will be ready!

I love the bedding! I would love to decorate for a baby!
I love the nesting period! The bedding is really cute!
Super cute! Nothing could make that bedding any cuter except to have a little wee one snuggled up on it! Can't wait to met him :)
Sorry to hear about your stones. What a nightmare, you poor thing! Hope you are feeling better.
I will help you paint! For goodness sakes - anyway it all turned out very cute!
Toshia, I am so excited for you to be a mom. Can't wait to see little Johnny!
Toshia, I'm really excited for you guys. It looks like you're about as ready as you can be. Congratulations!
Oh Toshia I love the bedding and the blue walls. Brown adjacent walls would be great too. I'm so sorry to hear about your kidney stones. Pregnant and kidney stones ... could it be any worse???
