Potty Humor

Now, you may think I am mean for this but I think it is stinking hilarious. Last night when Adrian was getting ready for bed he was in the bathroom supposedly flossing and brushing his teeth. I heard him calling my name so I went to see what he needed and what I found was a boy in tears with soaking wet pants. He had thought that the toilet seat and cover were down so he was going to sit down and floss his teeth. Well, he hadn't looked and the toilet was open and when he went to sit he fell into the toilet. He obviously was not hurt he just was a little startled and embarrassed. I of course had burst into laughter and he looked up at me and asked why I was laughing at him I said that it was stinking hilarious and that someday he would realize that. Am I totally mean or what? This reminded me of another situation back in my younger days...

(As a side-note I love my brother Chad immensely and only tell this story out of love) One day when I came home from school, I think I was a sophomore in HS, I was sitting in the living room talking to my mom when one of the kids said that Chad was crying and needed help. My mom asked me to check it out so I ran upstairs to see what the matter was. Somehow he had managed to get his skinny little 4 year old butt stuck in the toilet seat. Let me tell you, it was wedged in there good. I tried everything and he was not coming loose. He looked up at me with his big old sad eyes and whispered "Toshia, my butt is touching the water." I couldn't help but giggle. Then I got creative and went for the Vaseline. I had to slather that junk on the seat and his butt to get him out, it was so gross! To this day I have not been able to determine how in the world he managed to get himself stuck in the first place :) What was that kid doing?

I told Adrian this story to get him to laugh and he said at least he didn't get stuck in the toilet. Looking back on this I wonder if it is at all possible that Adrian may have learned a valuable lesson about why you should put the seat down after you go to the bathroom? Maybe, but probably not :(
