Whew, I just completed a blog reader marathon! I don't know exactly why, but I have not been able to sit and read blog posts or even post myself in the last few days. I think I have been spending so much time playing with the program for my vinyl cutter figuring things out that time has been getting away from me. I am so excited about the stuff I have done so far and I have a million ideas for more now I just have to get some of it made and start selling! I have also come up with some awesome stuff for Bunco prizes this month so if you are in the bunco group you will definitely want to win at my house! (I will post pics of stuff later so I don't spoil the surprise)
Well, for an update around here:
Andrew: waiting to get his appointment letter from the Police Dept. so he can be all ready for the interview and anxiously awaiting Adrian's first pinewood derby (the car making has begun...)
Toshia: getting all crafty and what not, but also getting mentally ready for going back to work on the 9th...I cannot believe that enough time has passed already for me to be going back to work! I totally trust him with my mom, but I don't like that I will be missing those precious hours with Jonathan. Getting totally ready for the best valentine's day ever.
Adrian: looking forward to pinewood derby! Just had 2nd quarter report cards come home and he is steadily improving! We are so pleased with the progress he is making academically...almost all "M" (meets) and even some "E" (exceeds) this quarter! Now if only we can get him to improve his work habits he will be all set. His goal is to have no "N" (not meeting) on his next report card... Funny story--he came home with the report card folder and wanted to make sure that we remembered to put money in it. I was confused and asked him why we were supposed to put money in there and he said it says to on the envelope. I looked and didn't see anything about money and he pointed to the line that was highlighted for "2nd quarter parent signature" and said see "it says to put 2 quarters in." I had a good belly laugh and explained to him what that meant.
Luke: had his first ever pine wood derby today with his tiger cubs. Unfortunately we weren't able to make it out to OC to see it, but we were there in spirit! Waiting to hear how he does...
Jonathan: oh how much he is changing every day! This little one is such a ham. He had his first real laugh the other day when Adrian came in the room with some goggles on and a towel on his head. It was so cute. Adrian wanted to make sure that I blogged that my oldest son made my youngest son laugh. Last week I found an exersaucer on Craig's list for $25 and I jumped on it. Jonny loves it! I can finally put him down and he is content instead of freaking out that he is not involved. Although...this afternoon while we were eating lunch he had his first real "blow-out" diaper while sitting in the exersaucer and it dripped all down his leg and made a puddle on the bottom--gross!!! I hate those times, at least we were home and not out like last Saturday's blow out. He is getting in a real night routine which has been wonderful. He falls asleep about 9pm and then doesn't get up until about 7am. He usually "wakes" up in the middle of the night at some point, but if I give him his binky he goes right back to sleep. I am loving this! Now if he would just figure out a nap schedule... Also, the quest to get him used to a bottle has reached success! He is an odd duck I tell you. He would take a bottle from me, but not from anyone else. We had to ease him into it and now he will take one from Andrew too. Next week my mission is to make sure he will take one from my mom otherwise she will not be very happy watching him all day!

We used to call it the Poopersaucer. I think the jumping and the position helps to get things moving. My kids ALWAYS had blowouts in that thing. And since they are pretty much suspended with all that pressure on their crotch, it has nowhere to go but up the back. Can't wait to see the vinyl sutff!
At first I thought the picture was of him in the middle of a birthday cake - what a fun thing you got for him - and yeah, the bottle thing better be going better than it was at the beach for me ;)
Toshia, where did you get your vinyl cutter? I want one so badly.
