Our Weekend

First off I have decided that whoever determines the sizes on clothes is retarded. Not just baby clothes, but all clothes! Why is it that depending on where I shop I wear a range of 3 different sizes of pants and tops? And sometimes even things from the same label I wear different sizes! Is there some sort of general rule for sizing or does each place just make it up as they go along? Last night I had to rotate out more clothes for Jonathan and he is now wearing some things that are "6-12 mo." size. Whatever! This pair of pjs I put on him last night barely fits. ( I was going to take a picture, but he just peed all over it so I had to take a break from my ranting to give him a bath and change him...) I sat last night and compared clothes and 2 outfits from different makers both had labels that said "12.5-16.5 lbs." and one of them is totally smaller than the other. Do we use different measurements for weight now people? The length ones are no help either. If I ran the world there would be universal clothing size rules to simplify all our lives! It saddens me to put such cute clothes away, but lucky for Jonathan there are always more due to wonderful family and friends:)

Done with the rant, on to the weekend. I had a blast this weekend. I stayed home yes, but got a lot of stuff done. On Saturday I decided that the "dust can wait" and so I played with my boys. Business was done first with a run to the bank, the gas station, and to the store to pick up a few items (all ready for 14 days of valentines now!). I almost lost my patience though because true to form Adrian had to ask for something on every isle and touch something on every isle. How can I get these guys in my life to learn when it comes to shopping we make lists people and we do not deviate from the list?! Anyways, then it was on our way home to make Adrian's valentines for school. He had such a blast and was really excited that I was letting him use my stamps and stamp pads. It was so cute because he commented that "we are making these since it isn't very expensive to do it yourself." This little kiddo worries about money an awful lot. Yes, it was cheaper to make them ("free" since I already had everything), but it was also fun to make them and now no one else in his class will have the same ones.

(Ignore the messy table...) After we were done with this we played games: mancala, uno spin, and yahtzee. Can I just say that I hate losing games to someone who has no idea what they are doing? Adrian beat me 6 games in a row at yahtzee and he had no clue what to do other than roll the dice over and over again. He rolled at least one yahtzee in every game too. Whatever!
Yesterday I continued my project from Thursday of organizing the garage. I know it was Sunday, but organizing is cathartic for me. I have consolidated more stuff and I am getting closer to my goal of having a place for everything. The day was completed by the funniest "The Office" special after Super Bowl, so yes I would say it was a really good weekend.

Sounds like a great weekend! The free cards turned out cute:)

I haven't watched "The Office" yet as I was too busy cleaning up the post-bowl kitchen, but I look forward to it tonight!

Cute Valentines and may I say your need from lists comes from your father not me:)

You are such a great mom! Those boys are lucky to have you. Talked to Sara the other day to make an appointment for when David and I come home to visit. It is impossible to get in to see you! That is a good thing I guess- but I am still waiting for a cancellation. You are one of the best Hygienists I've ever been to! Very cute baby boy, by the way- good work!
