Valentine's 2009

The 14 days of Valentine's have officially ended:( I had such a fun time doing this for my husband this year and I cannot wait for next February to do it all over again! All of the things I did for him were totally dorky, but way fun anyways. Here is what I did for 14 days of Valentines (not in exact order, but I am too tired to arrange the photos in order!)

Stud Finder: "I'm so lucky to have found a stud like you! Happy Valentine's stud muffin!!"

Heart shaped pizza: "You hold a pizza my heart!"
Wall vinyl: "My favorite place is in your heart"
Cuties: "Orange you glad I picked you to be my valentine?!"
Fresh made carrot juice: "If you 'carrot' all you'll be my valentine!"

Dollar bill folded into a shirt: "I'd give the shirt off my back to be your valentine!"

Jump rope: "You make my heart jump for joy!"

Pair of dice: "Life with you is paradise!"

(I had to include rules for a "Kissing game" too...c'mon ladies you know the lovin' is what this holiday is all about!)

Wall vinyl: "Always remember to kiss me goodnight"

Level: "You keep me level-headed valentine!"

Banana: "I'm bananas over you!"

Square: "Let me be square with you: you're the best valentine!"

Delicious ham sandwich: "You really know how to ham it up!"

Snicker's bar: "My love for you is nothing short of substantialiscious!"

(This was the word printed on the one side of the bar...clever ehh?)

I must say that I was rather impressed with myself that I managed to remember to give Andrew his valentine everyday except for one...on Friday I left for work first and then he was gone at work when I got home and he met up with me at a friend's house for a game night and by the time we got home it was after midnight--long day! I found that even though there were still moments of frustration over the past 2 weeks I got over them a lot quicker and found ways to love Andrew more because of them. I think it was all due to the fact that I was trying to do these special things for him. Thank you to my friend for sharing this idea--I am so grateful!

I didn't really do valentine's stuff for anyone else...for Adrian I took him to get his hair cut and out to lunch (nice huh?) and then we decided that we should play cupid for a few of our friends who live close to us and deliver some goodies. It was so cute to see Adrian get all into it. Originally we thought about doing the whole doorbell dash and he had this whole outfit planned out of all black clothes to be able to hide in the dark. However, we decided it would be more fun to deliver them and have them know it was us to get to hang out with them too and it sure was! I think Valentine's is officially one of my favorite holidays.

Andrew this year had to work all day on Valentine's so we didn't get to go out on a "date" together. Next year he owes me! I took the kids to a friend's house for dinner and when Andrew got there we played a game of Cadoo then came home. I came home to this:

Isn't that sweet? A gigantic balloon that says happy valentine's day in Spanish (only one they had left at the last minute...hehehe silly husband) some of my favorite candies and of course a stuffed bear and a dozen red roses. (My favorite part is the fact that he didn't bother to make the bed first so excuse the mess and the baby toys in the background!) I am so lucky to have this wonderful man for a husband. I love you Andrew--xoxoxoxo!
