It's all about the food baby!

I have done it. I fed Jonathan rice cereal last night. For the last couple of weeks he has been mesmerized watching us eat and he tries to reach for it as he is drooling like crazy. It is the cutest thing to watch. That coupled with the fact that I am so done with the whole nursing every 2 hours to keep this kiddo full led me to the decision that it was time to introduce the rice cereal. At first he seemed really confused and then he was reaching for it and eating as best he could. His poor little tongue has a high frenum attachment ("tongue-tied") so he was having a little bit of a hard time. Then he started to get frustrated because he couldn't get it down fast enough:) My son, the pig! I ended up putting the rest of the watered-down grossness (makes me gag!) into a bottle and he sucked it down happily. I cannot believe that he is getting to be such a big boy. Every morning when I get him out of bed he seems to have grown and his face changes to a different more mature looking little boy instead of a little baby:( I am not "baby-hungry" but I do miss his sweet little baby self that I feel like I didn't get to keep around long enough!

Real food is great! And oh boy what a mess it can make. Good luck with it all.
