I was just realizing how long it has been since I last posted. I thought I would give a brief update on the family! Last weekend was my niece's birthday and we went to Safari Sam's in Sherwood, OR for the party. This place was pretty cool. A giant indoor jungle gym. Adrian didn't want to leave. The pics in this post are from that day.
Jonathan: still not walking, which I don't mind too much except for I have to carry him around all the time:) I think the only toned muscles I have are my arms...hefting his 24 pound self around isn't always easy! He has recently decided that he doesn't like bottles unless it is bedtime, so we have graduated to the sippy cup. He is really stubborn though so he has one with a straw...he won't tip a cup to drink. It is the funniest thing you ever saw!
Luke: had a really fun birthday and was so excited to go out on a "date" with Grandma Candy and Grandpa Dave. He got to pick out a present and he chose a zero gravity car. It has been difficult to keep that thing safe with Jonathan around! He is loving the 2nd grade and is doing really well.
Adrian: actually loves 4th grade!!!! He wanted to try eating breakfast at school last week so I let him and then he asked if he could eat at home since he was missing out on some worksheets in the morning that really wanted to do. I had to check and make sure this was the same kid! Of course he can eat at home:) He has been completing all his work in class (never happened before...yay!) and is working on earning the opportunity to take swim lessons. He has come sooooo far from where he was at when we got custody in '08. Makes my heart melt...I love this kid!
Me: I have been busy getting ready for a bazaar on top of working some extra days at the office and being the world's greatest mom and wife (hehehe). I have been trying to make a routine for us that works and I think I have worked out most of the kinks. My only thing right now is feeling overwhelmed by house work and thinking I am the only one who can see the mess/dirt/whatever around here and therefore the only one who cares! Oh well, such is the life of mommy I guess. Besides, anyone who knows me knows that I actually do love to clean...psycho...
Andrew started school last week and he is feeling pretty confident about his classes this term. I know he will do well in them. He is taking 12 credits this term and trying to work around 35 hours a week. He is still at Costco, but he switched departments and might be able to get Sundays off again...so excited about that! He has been with his unit at the Guard for a few years now and completed some more training at the beginning of this month at Camp Rilea. All the things that pull him away from home make me appreciate him more when he is around. I love this man and of course I think that I have the best husband in the world. (Sorry ladies, my man wins!)
