Following the tradition that I started last year I did the 14 days of valentine's for my fabulous sweetheart again this year. Okay people, I thought it was hard to stay on top of it with a little baby last year. Let's just say it is a lot harder to get stuff done at this point in my life with a busy boy and being pregnant. Andrew is lucky I love him and that I got it done every day. Sorry, I did forget to get pictures of everything like last year, whateva!
(Okay, I did take this one picture...) So, in no particular order (mostly cause I can't remember that far back) here are the valentine's that I did this year:
1) "Valentine, you'll always be my superhero!"- attached to a bag of superhero fruit snacks.
2) "I'm nuts over you valentine!"- attached to a jar of peanuts.
3) "Valentine, you're the best fish in the sea!"- attached to Andrew's favorite candy Sweedish fish (NOT my favorite candy...)
4) "Life with my valentine is GOOD!"- attached to a giant Mr. Goodbar
5) "Thanks for filling in the missing pieces, valentine!"- attached to a photo puzzle I had made through walgreens.com using a picture of our family.
6) "Hugs!"- with a plate of pretzel hugs. On a cookie sheet lay out a bunch of pretzels and put some hershey kisses (unwrapped) on them. Bake at 450 for 2 min. when you take them out immediately place an m&m on the kiss. Place in fridge to cool. Delicious treat and easy to make!
7) "You melt my heart!"- attached to a couple bags of hot cocoa mix with marshmallows and kisses and a card with a heart made out of candycanes.
8) "Valentine, you warm my heart!"- attached to a heart shaped rice pillow I made out of cute valentine fabric.
9) "All my treasures I have because I have you!"- attached to a tin I filled with those hershey's chocolates that are shaped like treasure chests. I made sure to get dark chocolate ones since that is his fav.
10) "Anything for you valentine!"- attached to a cute jar I filled with coupons for him to use. Stuff like "one hour nag free computer time" and "20 minute back rub". The jar was one that I made last month at Relief Society activity night, I "taught" the ladies how to put a vinyl heart on a glass/plastic jar.
11) "Valentine, you forever hold a pizza my heart!"- to go with a heart shaped pizza from papa murphy's (didn't go as planned...ended up at a pizza parlor in Lincoln City instead.)
12) "Pop on over valentine!"- attached to a bag of popcorn and a movie.
13) "We need a night out valentine!"- attached to movie tickets and the promise of a babysitter. We went last night to see Avatar...pretty good movie, but a little too full of ridiculous propaganda. (And what is with the creepy fibers that come out of their braids?)
14) "Kisses!"- taped to our door with a bunch of oragami hearts that I folded. The idea was a sort of "heart attack" combined with, well, do I really need to say? LOL!
Over all I think it was a success and I give myself props for remembering every day;)
Andrew was a good husband this year and came through with some fun as well. On Friday while I was at work a box arrived for me from proflowers.com. I think all the ladies there were a little jealous...good job babe. Inside was a bouquet of flowers, "100 blooms of love," a red vase, a box of truffles, a little teddy bear, and some lavender bath stuff (body wash, bubble bath, and bath beads.) What a sweet guy! Then yesterday on his way home from class he stopped at my favorite Thai food restaurant in Portland, Thai Ginger, and surprised my with take out. Fabulous! The only thing better than dinner last night was the leftovers for lunch today;)

This is the picture of my bouquet from the website. So pretty!

Can you do a reminder post in January for those of us who forget that Valentines is a holiday until the day before? I am horrible about remembering that, but I love your cute ideas. Just remind me next year.....
