We had the awesome chance to go to Lincoln City this past weekend as a family. We stayed with my Dad, my little sisters and a couple of their friends. On Saturday Andrew had to go to the library for a little to do some homework, so we went for a walk on the beach. For the first time ever we walked all the way up to the north end of the beach to where it ends. My dad ended up going around the point to find agate heaven while I stayed with the kids on the beach. It was a gray day with a light sprinkling of rain, typical! Here are lots of pictures from the weekend:
Adrian, Luke, and Autumn out ahead.
Logan, Hayden, Maika, Autumn, and Taylor.
Jonathan in exploration heaven examining some crab legs he found with Grandpa.
Eating lunch on the rocks.
Jonathan loved the beach. I couldn't keep him out of the sand or away from the water. This kid has no fear...
Later that night we met up with my Grandparents who live in Neskowin for dinner at a local pizza restaurant. Jonathan kept putting his hands in his hair.
Sunday the weather was gorgeous so we went for a walk on the beach. We actually hiked down this hillside to take the "safer shortcut" per my Dad. Nice.
Agate and treasure hunting. The boys filled their pockets.
Jonathan just wanted to pick everything up and suck the salt water off. Icky!
He is actually laughing in this picture, but it looks like he is crying. Silly kid.
Jonathan was pooped after two really long days playing and running on the beach. He fell asleep for a minute on Taylor's shoulder while walking back.
Overall we had a fantastic time at the beach. I love the Oregon coast and feel so lucky to get to go there as often as we do. Thank you to my parents for always letting us crash at their place!
