Early Spring Cleaning! I have the itch ladies and I can't wait for the days (and nights!) of open windows and fresh air filling this house. Andrew calls it nesting--I call it a little bit of OCD, but either way things are getting done around here. (At least every so often....and not like stuff will stay organized!)
#1 project: The Garage
Before Pictures...(Scary! I know.)
And the GORGEOUS After picture (There is still a pile of junk in the corner you can't see, but I still think this counts as improvement.)
#2 project: The Master Closet
Before:
(As you can see, my little helper is always around to eat random stuff...on the menu today was an old hanger. Tasty.)
After:
I know there doesn't appear to be much of a difference, but there really is. I can actually walk up to the clothes now and find both shoes of a pair at the same time;) Keeping it this way will be a challenge though.
#3 project: Move everything in our room and vacuum
(including under and behind the bed!) I also decided it was time to do something about the eyesore that was our box spring cover situation. I was lazy and just tried to use the old dust ruffle from before we had an actual bed and just had that lame metal frame thingy. The only problem was that the ruffle was black (which I wanted) but the part that lays on the box is white and constantly comes out and irritates me to no end! I do not want to see the white. I read on some blog ages ago about using a fitted sheet over the box spring instead. This was kind of a light bulb/duh moment for me. I decided this was the perfect solution, it just took me about a year to get around to it!
Before: (ack, that white gives me hives!)
After: (So gorgeous!)

The whole gorgeous bed actually made (just for the picture mind you--and yes mom, I do occasionally make our bed!)
These projects are just some of the reasons I haven't blogged much lately. If I am being honest though a big part has also been that I gave in and discovered "Lost." Since the first 5 seasons are all on Hulu I have been sucked in (even though it truly is a bizarre and ridiculous story line!) Maybe I will finish watching the first 5 seasons in time to watch the final season when it comes out on DVD (or all the episodes become available online!) Next up on the to do list: paint Jonathan and Reagan's room and start painting all the trim in the house! I can't wait, I love to paint:)
