If you don't know what a pillow pet is...count yourself lucky. Jonathan has been obsessed with wanting one for a while now. Actually, he doesn't just want one, he wants all of them. I looked into making him one, but in the end it would cost just as much and I wasn't willing to spend that much on a pillow-that's what Aunts are for! Aunt Hayden got this penguin pillow pet for Jonathan and he was soooooo excited. He was showing everyone, but freaking out if anyone wanted to touch it! I overheard him get in an argument with Hayden that "Present for Santa" had gotten him the pillow pet, not her. He gets it now, but it sure was funny how he would not let her take credit for it! He will not sleep on it though...it has to sleep with him...looking at him...laying beside him. I think I would be creeped out, but he loves it! Out of nowhere during the day he will just look at me and say "momma, I love it!" "love what Johnny?" "my pillow pet!" He has also taken to pretending to be a penguin in the bath tub...what a funny kid!
Jonathan has been doing so well lately. He is totally potty trained and is down to maybe one accident a week. We are still working on night time though. I came up with a sticker chart for him and he seems to be getting it. I found some toy story stickers and he gets to put one on the chart every morning if his toy story pull up is dry. It took him a few days to get it, but now he is totally into it. When he gets 30 stickers he gets to go to the zoo to see the animals (especially the penguins!). Every morning and night I ask him what he gets when his sticker chart is full and he he says "the zoooooooo! See the aminals!" I am so proud of him and I can't wait to take him to the zoo:)
{OCD alert: Jonathan has to place the stickers on his chart just inside the lines and the stickers in the columns so far have to match each other...add this to the obsessive need to have clean hands and shirts and I am starting to wonder if the Weitzel OCD is surfacing already!}
