We were reading the Book of Mormon together this morning. We are reading the part about Helaman and his 2000 Stripling Warriors. I was impressed by these young men and the fact that they did not doubt that their mothers "knew it." I have wondered a lot lately about how to make sure that my children do not doubt that I know it. And then it dawned on me: no matter what stupid mistakes I made growing up and all the rotten things I did as a teenager I have been blessed to never doubt that my own mother knows it. I am so grateful for the restoration of the gospel and for the strength that it provides in my life and to my family. None of us are perfect and it is wonderful that God cares for us enough to send his son, Jesus Christ, that He should die for us and we should all live again because of it!
Funny story: I was helping Jonathan "read" his verses and when I told him to say "northward" he looked at me funny. Then with all the confidence his two year old self could muster he said "north pole."
Wonder if his little Dora filled mind found this more appropriate because of the silly Dora movie we have about finding Santa at the North Pole? He was really upset when I corrected him to and he was adamant that it should be north pole. We were cracking up!

I totally agree. When your kids KNOW that you KNOW, it makes all the difference in the world. It means everything.
Funny "north pole," too. He's so cute.
