Somewhere out there in blogland I saw a post about coloring rocks. However, when I went to find it again to get the exact directions I couldn't find it or remember where I had seen it. Oh, well. I figured it out and we had a blast!
Taylor and Noah were visiting us this day and I needed something to entertain all them kids so I thought we would try this out. It was so much fun!
Step 1: Find yourself a suitable rock. Flat river rocks work really well...of which we have a couple in our backyard;)
Step 2: Clean the rocks and put them on a baking sheet.
Step 3: Bake in oven at 250* for about 10 minutes. Rocks are HOT so be careful;)
Step 4: Be freaking cute.....
Step 5: Cover your table with some old towels and get out the good old crayola crayons. Draw on the rocks with your crayon and the wax goes liquid like paint and as the rock cools the wax hardens. (Small rocks cool faster....duh!)
Step 6: Stand back and admire your amazing creativity and show off your mad rock coloring skillz!
