Yup, that's right. I am yet again a month behind on blogging:) Life is happening around this house peeps and I am totally behind on a lot of things! Here is the first of many posts about our life in July.
July has brought to our life many wonderful things....one of the best is sunshine! We finally had a few days of "hot" weather at the beginning of July and we decided to put that heat to good use. The kids have been asking about playing in the wading pool since, oh, March (spring break) so I figured a 75* day in July was a good time to pull that sucker out, dust it off and blow it up. I was amazed at how long that little pool entertained my offspring. Adrian, Luke and Jonathan played first with the sprinkler for a little while and then we filled up the kiddie pool. Adrian lasted the least amount of time. As soon as a bee came buzzing over for a drink he was out of the pool and ready to be done playing outside! Sorry, no movie on a gorgeous day like that buddy;)
Luke lasted a couple of hours and then was ready for a change in activity. Reagan was napping and content to play in her pack n play for a while. Then Jonathan was the only kiddo playing in the water and got lonely so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to pull out one of Reagan's super cute swimsuits and let her splash around a bit. Yeah, did not go as planned.
Reagan was very unsure of the whole grass situation while in a bathing suit. She normally doesn't really seem to mind it, but for some reason it was not working for her this day.
Jonathan loved every minute of the play outside and couldn't get enough.
He's coming to get me!
It started to get pretty breezy out, but it was nice. I swept the patio while the kids played. Then we heard a loud cracking sound and looked over to see a tree fall on our neighbors house! We were so shocked to see that happen. Thankfully the tree didn't make it through their roof and there wasn't any major damage to the house. Man, I was glad it wasn't our house.
Here's what Reagan thought of the pool situation. She was absolutely terrified and unhappy about the suggestion that she should play in a little pool of water outside. She was freaking out so badly that she really never even felt it, so I know it was that the water was too cold. She is such a funny little girl and sooooo stubborn. Once she decided that she was not liking the whole pool idea she sure stuck to it!
This day was a fantastic start to the month and we had a blast. Stay tuned for more news of July 2011....when I get around to it!

Poor Reagan, but at least Jonathan had fun. She will like it eventually, but for now the cute sad face will have to do. ha
