Thankful Garland

For the first Family Home Evening of November we made a "Thankful Garland."  We talked about all the things that we are thankful for and then wrote them down on silk leaves from the dollar store.  I then strung them together and we hung it up for the month.  I thought I took a picture of it, but I guess I never did before I started to decorate for Christmas.  Sorry.

Here's a list of what we are thankful for:

health
Jesus
creations
the great outdoors
friends
temple
knowledge
pants
my children
freedom
eternal families
my husband
prophet
scriptures
lego thing
piano
books
chairs
legos
clothes
brothers
table
food
daddy
our house
Reagan
my ipod
antidisestablishmentarianism
electricity
constitution
pell grants
sharpies
animals
mitochondria
mommy
numismatism
art
narwhals
popcorn
water
food
thanksgiving
book of Mormon
prophet
mp3 player
shelter
friends
books
temple
black licorice
church
comfort
sesquipedalians
family
Heavenly Father
Jesus Christ
nature
strength
Holy Ghost
clothes
toys
pumpkin pie
love

As you can tell there were some repeats, there was one little boy who was thankful for anything that he could see at the time, and one man who thought it would be funny to throw in a few extremely random items...one guess who that was!  I love my family so much and I am so grateful for all of the blessings that I have received in my life.  I have never been so happy!

LOVE your garland! I did a thankful tree one year with old tree branches and leaves. It's fun to see what the boys come up with. Speaking of which, I can almost guess which words Andrew added! That little stinker!

Yeah--I was just going to say: "Andrew's are easy to spot!" I love the garland and the whole idea. Very neat.
