Halloween being on a Monday this year meant that our Family Home Evening activity was trick or treating! We totally took advantage of the tri-ward trunk or treat at our church. People would hand out candy from their trunks and the kids could safely go around and get treats from them. My favorite was the car that had a little table with an unmanned bowl of candy on it. Guess we're going on the honor system around here!
Adrian went off with Aunt Hayden and made the rounds while Uncle Noah and Aunt Taylor decided they wanted to help with Han and Leia. I promised Taylor payment of candy from Reagan's basket and laughed at Noah and his pathetic trick-or-treating since he is too old in my opinion to be doing it. He carried around our blaster for his "costume."
Andrew got the chance to wear his Storm Trooper costume and totally took advantage of it! Reagan was terrified of him and wanted nothing to do with that scary guy in white. Good girl;)
If only I had taken the time to think of a costume for myself then our whole family would have been Star Wars at the trunk or treat. At the last minute I remembered that I had a poodle skirt and decided to go with that. Next year I might do costumes for everyone including myself!
After the trunk or treat I waited at my parent's house with Reagan while everyone else went out around the neighborhood. Our street/lack of "neighborhood" sucks so this is the way to go. One of their neighbors hands out full sized candy bars!!!
Happy Halloween everyone (the candy is finally gone around here...)
