Yes, I did remember to do the 14 days of Valentine's this year. And yes, they did rock!
Last year I slacked on the notes I had with them and this year I wanted to do something different with the notes. I had some really fun new paper to play with that I got from Close To My Heart and I found the perfect use for some of it:
Last year I slacked on the notes I had with them and this year I wanted to do something different with the notes. I had some really fun new paper to play with that I got from Close To My Heart and I found the perfect use for some of it:
Each card had a note inside that went with the day's valentine. Andrew wouldn't get rid of them and says he saved them so that I could "scrap" them. Love that man!
Day 1: You are the milk to my cookies.
I made the most delicious big fat chewy chocolate chip cookies and timed it so that they would be warm and gooey when Andrew got home. Yeah, I rock.
Day 2: (Love Note)
I saw the cutest thing on pinterest and new that I had to make a memo board for Andrew and I to write love notes to each other. The original example was done with hand-stitching to make it look like a piece of paper. I so do not have time for those types of details so I used a real piece of paper and guess what? It looks just fine:)
Day 3: I want to nail you.
I found this printable on pinterest and knew that I had to use it somehow. It was too funny/cute not too!
I printed it out as a 5x7 photo and left it in Andrew's car for him to open after work.
Day 4: You are the bacon to my eggs.
I made Andrew a delicious omelet and fried up some bacon. Mmmmm, bacon. Excuse me for a minute as I wipe the drool off my face....okay, I'm back now. That was some good bacon!
Day 5: You are o"fish"ally the one for me!
Andrew's favorite candy is Swedish Fish so you know it had to be included.
Day 6: Valentine, you are the bomb!
This is another pinterest find: rolos wrapped in red paper with a wick added to make sticks of dynamite. Rolos are so yummy!
Day 7: Love is all you need.
This was a little bit of a joke since Andrew can't stand this song;) I used some "manly" fonts to prevent the "cutesy" look and i actually like the way it turned out.
Day 8: I really "dig" you valentine!
I filled a plastic shovel with conversation hearts. It was fun since Andrew started leaving them around the house for me to find! Although some of them are pretty cheesy the little "notes" can be a perfect means of conversation.
Day 9: You are the bubbles to my bath.
Lately Andrew has been talking about how nice it would be to have a back scrubber in the shower, so I paired this bubble bath up with a back strap. He loves it.
Day 10: 10 things I love about you.
I used some of the pictures from our family photo shoot a year ago to make some scrapbook pages. The "10" in the middle of the page is actually a pocket with 10 strips in it that are each labeled with 10 things I love about my love.
Day 11: I really "skored" getting you for a husband and you just might "skor" tonight.
Get your mind out of the gutter! The "skor" I was meaning has to do with our dayt that night....stay tuned for the post about that!
Day 12: I am totally crazy in love with you.
Another pinterest find that I modified for my purposes.
Day 13: I "soda" think you are amazing!
Day 14: (Personal love note)
And yet another pinterest steal! (Remind me what I used to do for sparking creativity before pinterest??) I adapted a little poem I found that used the colors of m&m's to compliment someone.
Happy Valentine's babe! I love you so much and I can't wait for next year;)
