The first dayt of the new year, 2012, found us going out for one fun night of eating;) I planned a progressive dinner for us. I thought about locations and in the end decided to stay local. We parked downtown and went to 3 different restaurants within walking distance of our parked car.
We started out at Dockside for appetizers. Out of curiosity we tried the avocado spinach dip and it did not disappoint! I think that was the best spinach dip that I have ever tasted before.

The best part was when we were getting up to leave a different waiter brought out another plate of it thinking that we hadn't received ours yet. We did give it back without touching it, but it was tempting....
Next up we went for a little walk over to the Hawaiian Island Cafe for some Kahlua pork. I totally spaced out taking a picture of it before we devoured it. What can I say other than I was hungry and weak...that food was so good we dug right in as soon as they set it down!
Dessert was on our minds by the time the pork settled and we knew just what to do: we walked over to Klondike. We decided to get some hot chocolate (that came with a cherry on top!) and a deep dish chocolate chip cookie freshly baked with a scoop of ice cream on it. The perfect ending to a night of dining bliss!
I had so much fun with you this month babe and I can't wait for February's dayt.....
