I got it!

(The following is what I just overheard my 3 year old son, Jonathan, saying to my 18 month old daughter, Reagan.)

Oh, Reagan!  You have a runny nose.  It is running snotties all over.  I will get it.
[runs to get some tissue]
Reagan come here.  I have to do this for you.  Don't you understand that there is snot?!  I will get it.  I will do this for you.  The Lord has commanded me to do this for you.  To help you.  I will do this.  Reagan!  Hold still I am getting your snot.  Oh, there.  I got it for you.  Are you happy I did this for you?  Are you?!

(The funniest part is that the whole time he was trying to "help" they were rolling around on the ground since she was refusing to hold still.  It was hilarious watching him try to wrestle her into holding still.)

This led to Andrew telling me that this afternoon while they were outside working in the yard Jonathan was "helping" him.  As Andrew was trimming the tree and a bush Jonathan asked him "Dad did the Lord tell you to do this?"  Andrew laughed and said "sure."  Then Jonathan said "okay.  I am helping you right now with it because the Lord wants me to help you.  Okay, dad?"

All I can say is Jonathan must be having some pretty interesting lessons in his Sunbeam class since I don't remember talking about this with him.  Unless you count the primary song Nephi's Courage.....

HOw funny! He must have a pretty good Sunbeam teacher, or a mom who sets such a great example. What a good helper!
