Bows and Arrows

(Conversation I overheard my boys having while playing with "bow and arrows")

Adrian: Hey Jonathan, do you know who invented the bow and arrow?

Jonathan: (without skipping a beat) Nephi.

Adrian: What? No.

Jonathan: Yes.  He did.  Mom?  Tell Adrian that Nephi made the bow and his daddy Lehi showed him how.  Tell him that right now.

I guess the fact that Nephi is Jonny's hero and that Jonny is also obsessed with playing "bow and arrow" all make sense now.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that 2 weeks ago when I was walking into the church on Sunday with my brood in tow that I looked over to see Jonathan carrying the hanger his clothes had been hanging on 20 minutes prior. When I asked him why he had the hanger he looked at me in a really disgusted way and said:  "Mom.  This is not a hanger.  This is my bow and arrow.  I am going to shoot stuff at church today."  I promptly told him no way and snatched that thing away as quick as could be.  Needless to say, somebody wasn't too happy during sacrament meeting!
