Portland Oregon Temple Visitor Center

A couple Sunday's ago we decided to head over to the Portland Oregon Temple to take the kids to the new visitor's center there.  I was so impressed!  The kids loved all of the interactive displays: "magic" Book of Mormons, touch screen maps, Ipad controls, "magical" windows, movie "theater" and so much more.

One of my favorite things at the temple is the reflection pool.

Here is Andrew with the missionary couple that acted as our tour guides.  In this small world we found out that they are originally from Utah and happen to come from the same town that my BIL is from.  Oh, and even better...this man is best friends with my BIL's father!  They were so sweet and we could have spent so much more time there, but we were hungry so our stomachs dictated our necessary departure.
Almost everyday since Reagan has asked to go to the temple.  It makes me feel so good that she recognizes the importance of the temple and how special it is.  I am so grateful for the temples we have!  It is here in this temple that Andrew and I were sealed for time and eternity forging those chains that link us to God's family.  Love it!

How awesome. I have to tell you, I had serious homesickness pangs when I first heard that the Portland temple was getting a visitors center. WHY AM I NOT THERE?!?!? :( But I love seeing your pictures of your visit there. What a neat thing to do. Sweet, sweet.
