A week at the beach? Yes, Please!

When my parents were talking about going to their beach house in Lincoln City for a week I dreamed of being able to join them. When I realized that the only thing keeping me from doing so was one day of work I became determined to fix that! I still had a day of vacation that I didn't have scheduled for anything so I checked with my amazing office manager and she found someone to cover for me! The only lame part of the whole trip was the fact that Andrew couldn't join us for the whole thing, but he did get to spend some time with us. I drove down on Thursday, August 16 (yup, on my birthday!) with all 4 kids. Andrew joined us late Saturday night.  He left on Tuesday morning with Luke. I brought the other little stinkers home on Thursday. It was wonderful! The weather was gorgeous, the water was cold (but not frigid!) and the company was amazing as usual.
Reagan did not like the sand at first, but she quickly warmed up to it when she realized that it rinses off fairly easy. She didn't want to stand in the water much, but she loved it when Grandpa would hold her in his arms and walk out in the waves.

When we go to the coast we are usually limited to only a couple of days. This was such a blast because we had an entire week! I felt a lot more relaxed about what we were going to do and when we were going to do it. This was the perfect beginning to the end of summer.
