The 8th Dayt of 2012

The dayt for August was to have a couples Bunco night! It was really hard to decide which couples to invite so if you didn't make the cut, please don't let your feelings be hurt--we still love you! Bunco is a fun game of rolling dice.  We played with 7 other couples so there were 16 people total. The prizes were for couples so we played as couples.  It was a lot of fun! We started off the evening with getting a fire going in the pit on the patio. After everyone showed up we moved inside for a couple rounds of Bunco fun. We played 4 rounds total with a break halfway through for treats.
On the menu for the night was a s'mores bar. We had peanut butter cookies, chocolate bars, grahams, nutella, banana slices, strawberries with marshmallow creme, and of course marshmallows!  I tried the strawberries dipped in creme and roasted that...yummy! Pinterest how I love thee:) We drank some bottled sodas for fun and only as we were standing around drinking them did I realize that the brand we had didn't have labels so it totally looks like we're all boozing it up...oops! Since we were a pack of non-drinkers that was pretty hilarious. I now have some pretty amazing pictures I can share or save for future blackmail possibilities;)

We had a lot of fun deciding what kind of prizes to have and in the end we went with: a basket of bubbly (bubble bath, bath puffs, champagne glasses, and sparkling cider); gift certificate for movie night; gift certificate for dinner at Hawaiian Island Cafe (one of our favorites!); a cute little "do not disturb" door sign and some scentsy bars from the romance line; and the game of battleship (if you were there or at my bridal shower you know why...what happens at bunco stays at bunco!)
This was such a fun night that we may just have to have an annual couples party event (I already have an idea for next summer!)
