The 9th Dayt of 2012

This month is all about going back to school--right? Well, in honor of back to school the plan this month was to go on an ABC dayt! The best part of the dayt was the fact that it lasted all day long:) I started out the morning by giving my mr. the first envelope "A" and had the whole day mapped out for when to give each additional envelope. Most of the things were family-friendly, but a few of them were definitely for mommy and daddy only;) I used some of the same ideas that were on the original blog I found, but I obviously had to adapt it to our day. We had our dayt on the 14th of Sept. which also happened to be a day of service for our church so we had a service project in the middle of our dayt. The best part was being able to surprise Andrew throughout the day with things to do and places to go that are some of his favorites or that he has wanted to do for a while. "Q" was for quantity and quality and I gave him a bag with a few gifts in it. He was really excited about the Darth Vader ear buds that I found for him. Nerd.

I love this crazy guy of mine and I am so glad that we were able to spend the day dayting each other. I also liked the fact that the kids were so curious about what was in each envelope, but since it wasn't for them they didn't get the privilege of reading my notes. I like to think that they are learning from watching us that when they are old and married that they need to continue to dayt their spouses even after kids come along and life gets crazy. Thanks for the fun times Mr. Stott!

How totally fun!!! I love your ideas. And you're right, your kids are watching. I always remind myself of that, too, because with all my failings and impatience and handling things the wrong way as a mom sometimes, I know they are at least watching Kevin & me go out each week, enjoy being together, not talk bad about each other, etc. Love the Star Wars ear buds.

YOu are so cool! What a great way to continue dating! And fun for the kids to watch daddy's expressions.
