Turkey Day 5K 2012

Andrew and I have been continuing with the running thing. I have come to terms with the fact that I am now a runner...although I use that term loosely;) Andrew is a much faster runner and can go much further than I think anyone really needs to go!
We decided to run a 5k loop on Thanksgiving again this year. We had a few of our friends join us and we set out for our 5K run/jog/walk/crawl event! We picked as flat and straight forward of a route we could find and it just happened to go past our street. This ended up coming in handy since Andrew forgot his hat and wanted it. So, of course he ran ahead of me went home, got his hat, and then caught back up to me. I don't think he was even winded or sweating from this either:/
I have no grand dreams of running anything more than 5K's from this point forward in my life. I ran the 10K last year and I can say that I've done it, but I really have no desire to do it again. Andrew on the other hand is planning to run his first marathon next year. Go Andrew!
(I will run the 5K and hang out waiting for him...they have free strawberry shortcake for all the runners. How could I pass that up?)

You're totally amazing. I'm so impressed! ...And I think the running-back-home thing is hilarious. If I did that, I would totally count it as my run.
