When we had that snow "storm" on New Year's Eve I had to dig out the snow gear for the kids to play in it. The thing about snow around here is that when we do have it then it is usually incredibly wet as well as cold so you can't just get away with wearing a pair of mittens and calling it good. I wanted to make sure that they were warm enough, but could still enjoy themselves and I think I got there! Both of them commented about how difficult it was for them to move though...
But I think they were much cuter:)
I have since gathered more sensible snow clothing since the kids were able to go to Mt. Hood with my parents a couple of weekends ago.
This year for Christmas my parents gave the kids a gift of time. They have a box with 12 envelopes in it--one for each month. Inside the kids find out what they are going to do with their grandparents that month. January the plan was a day in the snow!

You can read all about their adventure on my mom's blog.
We can't wait to see what February has in store!!!

What a GREAT Christmas gift from grandparents!!!! And, yes, your kids are DEFINITELY cuter in their gear than the Christmas Story kid.
