I Spy with my little eye...

SANTA!!!
My Grandma Ardee and Papa John moved from California last spring and now live 5 minutes away from us. I have never lived around them before this and so I have never had the pleasure of being in their home during the Christmas season. My grandma decorates everything and has more decorations than I would know what to do with! I loved going into her home and discovering all of the cool things she has accumulated over the years. One of the things that she has no shortage of is Santa. This year she hosted a party at her home where the kids could come over and play a game of "I Spy Santa!" They went around her home (inside and out) and counted up the Santas. The best part is that in the end we all came up with different numbers--even my grandma had a different number than any of us! I helped Reagan look for Santas...she was a little tricky to keep focused on it after about 20 of them, but she stuck with me and we found 83 Santas! This was such a fun party and I can't wait to see if there are any changes next year:)

Jonathan brought along his magnifying glass so that he could find the most Santas.

The kids word their aprons from last year since we were going to be decorating sugar cookies too! (Hi, photo-bombing Noah...)

Reagan loves that Great-Grandma has babies at her house to play with.

Partnerships were formed and decorating began!

The frosting proved too tempting for some...it's one thing to lick it off your fingers, but the spatula?! C'mon, who's disgusting kid is that;)

As much fun as the actual time spent at Grandma's house was, it has been way more fun listening to the stories my children tell about it. At one point I think I heard a number in the 100 range thrown around (future fishermen maybe?) Thank you Grandma for hosting such a fun and memorable party for the kids--can't wait for next year!

Wow, what a super fun place to be! I love the idea of "I Spy" in your Christmas decorations. So cool.
